Winchester Waves
The Winchester Waves design produces a fabric with protruding and intentional waves that create depth and should not be blocked out. It flows beautifully and is effortless to modify. If you have the knit stitch down, you can bring this pattern to life!

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS - Varies
This pattern is meant to be modified to your desired size. The finished measurements of the designer’s pattern fit an average adult frame and should fit most people nicely. (If you use the suggested yarn, it will grow some when soaked and air-dried.)
MATERIALS

B: Biscayne - 255 yards
C: Heather - 147 yards
D: Ah-May-Zing - 180 yards
E: Spicey - 189 yards
Total Yards = 830 yards
Needles: US 6 (4mm) needles - The designer used 32” (81cm) circular needles (a shorter length may be used)
Stitch Markers: 11 - Keep extra markers on hand if you will be increasing the width of the pattern
Removable Stitch Marker: To mark right side of fabric
Tapestry Needle: To weave in ends
Row Counter: It will be helpful until you memorize the pattern
GAUGE
24 sts and 20 rows in garter stitch on US size 6 (4mm) over 4” (10cm) each before blocking. Gauge is not important to this project other than for yarn usage.
Notes: This pattern is intended to be extremely versatile. As you work the pattern you may stop knitting and bind off whenever you find the size you like. The stitch pattern will create gentle 3D waves in the fabric. These are intentional and should not be blocked out. Use your minis for stripes, add color panels, or use a variegated yarn for built-in color changes. You can even use yarn of a different weight. Try a mohair pop! Share what you come up with.
